Weatherization	Energy conservation services such as insulation, sealing, or heating system improvements provided to qualified low-income citizens. Available to homeowners and renters. Transportation	Please call 24 hours in advance to ride the senior bus. There is a brief questionnaire for all new riders. Due to the increase in ridership and area we have to cover, it may be difficult to schedule the exact time you are requesting. We will do our best to get you to your appointment. The Caldwell senior bus is a door to door on-demand service available for appointments for medical & hair/ nails, nutrition, employment, shopping or just visiting. Transportation is available to anyone age 60 and over. It is available for medical, nutritional, employment, educational, social and recreational needs. Buses are available at the Parma Senior Center, 722-5421, the Nampa Senior Center 467-7266, Melba Senior Center 495-2168 and through CCOA in Caldwell at 459-0063. Please call for the hours of operation. There is no charge for riding the bus, however, there is a suggested donation of $.75 per boarding to help defray the cost of operation. CCOA also offers a wheelchair van available for medical appointments only. Volunteer drivers are available for medical needs, which cannot be accommodated by a local bus. Volunteer Opportunities
Senior Programs
Homemaker Service Assistance with household cleaning tasks, shopping and other home maintenance. Available in Canyon and Western Owyhee Counties to persons age 60 and over with demonstrated needs. Fees, if any, are based on income.		Senior Resources Assistance with acquiring assistive devices Assistance with completion of Circuit Breaker forms (Canyon County) Housing information Referral to other community resources Available to all seniors.
Chore Service Provides minor home repair, limited yard work, safety device installation and other home maintenance chores. Available in Canyon County to persons age 60 and over.		Senior Companion Transportation Created in 1993, the Corporation for National Service gives more that a million Americans opportunities to improve communities through service. By providing a stipend, mileage reimbursement and training volunteers can serve their communities according their skills and abilities without cost to themselves. Adopt-A-Senior Monthly assistance to low-income seniors by providing a box of groceries the last week of the month when funds are often exhausted. Available in Canyon and Western Owyhee Counties		Transportation Caldwell Sr. Van Service (wheelchair accessible) Wheelchair transport to medical appointments outside Caldwell Volunteer drivers for medical appointments.
ECHO Daily telephone calls by dedicated volunteers to check on the well being of frail or disabled persons. Available in the Treasure Valley.		Medicare Education Group and individual Medicare information and education on accessibility, fraud and abuse or other concerns regarding Medicare seniors and their families. Available in Ada, Canyon, Owyhee, Washington, Payette, Elmore, and Gem Counties

Human Services
Prescription Assistance Assistance to low-income individuals to access existing prescription programs. Available to all qualified adults.		Kincare Assistance for grandparents raising grandchildren or other relatives. Support groups and referral information available. Available in all Area III counties. No age restriction . Emergency Food Bank Emergency food for qualified low-income individuals. Available to any persons in need.		Representative Payee Representative payee services for those unable to manage their finances. Available to all qualified individuals in Canyon and surrounding Counties.
